About Colorado for Health Care
Colorado for Health Care is uniting working families, small business owners, seniors, health care workers, community leaders, and policy makers to fight for affordable, quality health care that we can all count on. Order campaign materials.
Health care reform must ensure:
• Quality health care for everyone with a choice of doctors and plans, without gaps in access or coverage;
• Preventive care as part of any basic benefit plan that promotes health and eliminates economic and racial disparities;
• Controlled costs by providing care that is cost-efficient and medically effective; and
• Financing that is fair with responsibility shared by employers, individuals, and government.
Highlights of our campaign’s work include:
Mobilizing Voters on Health Care
We have made health care a top issue in federal and local elections. In 2006 health care voters mobilized to support a pro-health care Congressional candidate.
Passing Legislation to Expand Access and Affordability
We have worked to pass health care legislation that allows small business to join the statewide municipal employee health plan, lowering their insurance costs by establishing a large purchasing pool with greater bargaining power.
Creating Demand for Health Care Reform
We have signed up 29,000 Health Care Voters all across the state!
